Description	:	Perry Evert Glotfelty, 92, McHenry, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland. Born Oct. 9, 1913, in McHenry, he was the son of the late Archibald and Lilly Katie (Suter) Glotfelty. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lena (Harvey) Glotfelty, one son, Mervin R "Skip" Bernard; one grandson, Jeffery A Bernard; one brother, Markwood Glotfelty; and two special brothers-in-law, Wade T. Read More	Perry Evert Glotfelty, 92, McHenry, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland. Born Oct. 9, 1913, in McHenry, he was the son of the late Archibald and Lilly Katie (Suter) Glotfelty. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lena (Harvey) Glotfelty, one son, Mervin R "Skip" Bernard; one grandson, Jeffery A Bernard; one brother, Markwood Glotfelty; and two special brothers-in-law, Wade T. Carr and Bennett Paugh. He was in the U.S. Army veteran of World War ll. Over the years he was self-employed in farming, in trucking coal, and was the proprietor of Glotfelty's Garage, McHenry. He opened the first motel on Deep Creek Lake in 1947. Later he was the owner and operator of the Trading Post on Deep Creek Lake, which later turned into a family business which operated fron 1952 - 2001. He is survived by one daughter -in- law, Caroll Harvey, Lakeland Fla.; and serveral nieces and nephews. Frieds were recived at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, where service was held Saturday, July 8, with Pastor Donald Wilson and the Rev. Robert Collette officiating. Interment was in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
