Perry was born June 24,1952 in Scottsbluff to William and Betty(Baltes)Lofing. He received his early education at Gering Valley. Perry graduated from Gering High School in 1970 before going on to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Farming was in his blood from birth. His dad, Bill, taught him and for over 40 years he carried on the Lofing legacy. A job well done, my son. Perry was known as "Mr. Fix it" by many and was always helping others or working on a project. He had a passion for the rock music of his time, and bringing his father's Chevy pickup back to life. He filled our lives with promise, brought us joy that we would have never known, and the love he shared with us was a precious gift. Perry discovered a deep faith that became a cornerstone for his life and the way he lived. He saw God in the sunrise every morning and in the people he met every day. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Lofing.
