Description	:	Orangeburg - Mr. Perry Miller Holman, 77, of 3014 Bamberg Road, Orangeburg, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, died at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Carey Hilliard officiating. Active pallbearers will be Allen S. Miller, Blake H. Miller, Dexter Bunch, David Bunch, Kenny Baltzegar, Bret Moore and Don West. He was born Nov. 18, 1930, in Orangeburg, a son of the late Henry Sellers Holman and the late Coleen Wolfe Holman. He attended Cordova High School and retired from BiLo Stores. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Orangeburg. During his lifetime he loved going to Myrtle Beach on vacation and the Orangeburg County Fair. He was honored June 9, 1992, that day being declared as "Perry Holman Day" by Post 4 American Legion in Orangeburg. In later years, after becoming disabled, he enjoyed sitting on the front porch of his home and going to the Thunder Valley Race Course to see his nephew compete. Perry was an avid reader of The Times and Democrat and had to have his paper everyday. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry Sellers Holman III. Survivors include his loving niece and caregiver, Colver H. (Jerry) Miller of Orangeburg; two great-nephews, Allen S. Miller and Blake H. Miller, both of Orangeburg; a great-great-nephew, Blake H. Miller II; special friends, Melanie Wolfe, Cheryl Hightower, Vernon (Betsy) Baltzegar, Jane Moore and Helen Davis. Friends may call at the residence, 3014 Bamberg Road, Orangeburg, and the funeral home. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg.
