Description	:	copied from the National Society U.S. Daughters of 1812 Corp.Ohio Mil.: "Peter farmed extensively, raised stock and owned and operated a hotel and a store in Stewart, Rome township,Athens,Ohio. He died of Cholera while returning home from a business trip to Pittsburgh. He was removed from the boat at Hockingport. Because he died of a contagious disease, the law required that he be buried immediately." He was married to Betsey Vaughn and was the father of Mary, Harriet, Mary Louise and Rexavilla. He was the son of Hopson Beebe and Deliverance Curtis.
