Description	:	Peter Dicket, born about 1849 in New York, was the son of Catherine Dicket and step-son of Frederick Showalter. His German-born mother and step-father were married in 1857 in Muscatine County, Iowa, and in 1860 the couple were enumerated in the county's Wapsinonoc Township with Peter Dicket, age 11.
