April 24, 1902 Peter Blue, an aged and respected citizen of Jackson Twp, died last Friday at an advanced age of 79 years at his residence about five miles south of here. A sister of his, Mrs Eliza Hance, died on April 2, 1902, at the age of 75 years. Mr Blue's funeral was held Sunday at the Mt Zion Church; Rev RE Carney conducted the funeral service. He was born in Mad River Twp, October 29, 1823, and departed this life on April 19, 1902, aged 79 years, 5 months and 20 days. He was united in marriage with Rebecca E Bridgeman on September 28, 1848. To this union were blessed four children, two of which preceded him in death, Albert James and Winfield Scott. He leaves to mourn their loss a wife, one son, one daughter, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two sisters.
