Description	:	Funeral services for Peter E. Thomassen, 88, were held Wednesday, April 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton with Rev. Keith Rezac officiating. Burial was in St. Ludger Cemetery in Creighton. Peter E. Thomassen, son of William and Thekla Neppl Thomassen, was born February 6, 1910 at Brunswick. He graduated from high school in 1928 and farmed west of Creighton until 1937, when he began working for the Agricultural Conservation Program in Knox and Antelope counties and later throughout the state. Thomassen, son of William and Thekla Neppl Thomassen, was born February 6, 1910 at Brunswick. He married Dolores O'Neill April 22, 1947 at Albion. Pete was a member of St. Ludger Catholic Church, Creighton Chamber of Commerce and Nebraska REA Managers Association. He died Sunday, April 5, 1998 at the home of his daughter in Omaha at the age of eighty eight years. Survivors include his wife, Dolores of Creighton; daughter, Ann Cole of Omaha; sons and wives, Ed and Felecia and John and Marsha; eight grandchildren; brothers, Leo, George, Dr. Elmer and Dr. J. Paul; sisters, Mrs. Josephine Hansen, Mrs. Sphie Schaefer, Mrs. Adelaide Comeau; Mrs. Irene Bednar and Mrs. Dolores Weisbecker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Libbie; two brothers in infancy, parents and brother, Frank. ...The Creighton News 8 April 1998
