Watson and Frances Schemel. See Peter. Sunday morning, February 15, 1931, Frank Edwin Watson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Watson and grandson of former Senator and Mrs. Charles J. Watson, departed this life, after a month's illness. "Little Peter", as he was familiarly called, was taken to a hospital in Lincoln two weeks ago, where a double mastoid operation was performed. For a week or more high hopes were entertained for a speedy recovery, but on Friday complications developed and while the best medical skill was at hand, he became worse and finally succumbed to the dread disease. He was a boy of the far and interested in all its activities, the boon companion and constant shadow of his father. He liked to call himself his daddy's little "Hired man." His age was four years, ten months and nine days. He spent many happy vacations in Lincoln, where he was loved and cherished by his grandmother Schemel and his aunts. Little Peter has left a great vacancy in the lives of many people. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. Henry Stitt, the family pastor, in a beautiful and appropriate manner, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, at the Watson home. Miss Dorthy Farrar sang favorite hymns to the violin accompaniment of Miss Maude Stines and little Peter was laid to rest under the pines in Fairmont cemetery.
