Peter John Gleim was born in Hessen, Nassau, Germany and came to this country at the age of 17. He settled near Wall Lake where he engaged in farming until 1919 when he retired to the town of Wall Lake. He was baptized and confirmed in the Reformed Church where he was married Jan. 9, 1893 to Emilie Rohde. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son and one step-daughter. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. John Wiese of Lake View (Mary), Mrs. Ray Ridler of Estherville (Freida) and Mrs. Gerke Schoneboom of Lake View (Erna), twelve grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
