Description	:	Peter J. H. Meyer, 76, was born in Schuby, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, March 27, 1868. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in his native land. Later he became a member of Trinity Lutheran church and after moving to Ida Grove, transferred his membership to St. Paul Lutheran Church. He passed away at his sister's home (Mrs. Hans Greenwald) near Battle Creek, Iowa. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Grant Township, Ida County, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in his native land. Later he became a member of Trinity Lutheran church and after moving to Ida Grove, transferred his membership to St. Paul Lutheran Church. He passed away at his sister's home (Mrs. Hans Greenwald) near Battle Creek, Iowa. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Grant Township, Ida County, Iowa. He reached the age of 76 years, 3 months, 15 days. On June 30, he did some painting on his farm in Grant Township and suffered a heart attack. On Sunday, July 2, he was taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Greenwald, near Battle Creek, where he hoped soon to recover. When he was 22 years of age, he came to America in 1890. In 1902 he was united in marriage with Mrs. Anna Schutt and they lived on a farm in Grant Township until 1911, when they moved to Ida Grove, Iowa. Mrs. Meyer passed away 1938. There were no children of this marriage. Survivors include his sister, Gertrude Greenwald, two brothers who remained in Germany, and Fred Schutt of Thompson, Iowa (adopted son of Mrs. Meyer and her first husband).
