Blochlinger, a longtime and well-known resident of Cloud County, died at St. Joseph’s hospital Friday morning, Jan. 2 following a month’s illness. He was 91 years old. Mr. Blochlinger was born on Nov. 6, 1878, at Glen haven, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Blochlinger. He came to the Miltonvale community with his parents when he was one year old and has lived in Cloud County since. Blochlinger, a longtime and well-known resident of Cloud County, died at St. Joseph’s hospital Friday morning, Jan. 2 following a month’s illness. He was 91 years old. Mr. Blochlinger was born on Nov. 6, 1878, at Glen haven, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Blochlinger. He came to the Miltonvale community with his parents when he was one year old and has lived in Cloud County since. He was married to Adzanna Poulin in the Catholic Church at Meredith on March 3, 1908. Mrs. Blochlinger died April 30, 1957. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. For many years he was chairman of the Cloud County Democratic Central committee and was a past director of the Federal Land Bank of Concordia. He was a member of the Board of Education of the former district 67 and was active in other community and church work. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife and a son Francis Joseph. Survivors are these children: Joseph A. Blochlinger, Concordia; Adzana, now Mrs. Eli Pinney, Hutchinson: Laurence A. Blochlinger, Concordia; Bernadette, now Mrs. Roy Oeser, Wichita; and Mrs. Bernadine Cummings, Manhattan; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; five sisters: Miss Clara Blochlinger and Miss Ida Blochlinger of Miltonvale, Mrs. Lenora Hally, Delphos; Mrs. John Neises of Flint, Mich., and Sister M. Cletus, CSA, Beloit, Wis. Funeral services were held at the Catholic Church in Concordia on Monday, Jan. 5, at 10:00 o’clock. Burial will be at St. Concordia Cemetery.
