Read More	U.S. NAVY Peter Lloyd , died January 14, 2003, In Orange City, Iowa. A memorial service was held Friday, January 17, 2003 at 11 A.M. at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City, Iowa. The Rev. David Heilman and the Rev. Larry Van Essen officiated. Interment was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center, Iowa. Family Prayer Service was Friday at 9:30 A.M. at the Oolman Funeral Home, Orange City, Iowa. Peter Lloyd was the son of Peter C. and Celia (Blankespoor) Schouten. He was raised in Sioux Center and served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1958. On June 21, 1960, he married Rose L. VanEssen at Leota, Minnesota. They made their home in Sioux Center, where he was active in their church and the fire department. Although “Pete” was a trucker most of his life, they also operated the A & W Drive-In for eight years. Later, they moved to California and in 1987, returned to Iowa. They settled at Orange City, where they operated the Pantry Café for two years. He was then employed by the Vogel Paint Corporation, where he was manager of their Hazardous Waste Site for the past twelve years. Mr. Schouten was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church, where he was involved in the life of the church. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Rose; four children and their spouses, Mike and Maria Schouten of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Michele and Mark Davis of Hanford, California; Tammy and Dave Rozenboom of Sioux Falls; and Terry and Steph Schouten of Huron, South Dakota; twelve grandchildren, Megan and Marcus Schouten; Jesse and Lauren Davis; Katie, Heidi, Michael, and Brett Rozenboom; and Jonathan, Kelly, Kristen, and Heather Schouten; a brother, Robert Schouten of Sioux Center; three sisters and their husbands, Sally and Gerald Kruger, Mary and Keith Bonnema, and Carol and Mark Bandstra, all of Sioux Center; and a brother-in-law and his wife, Gerald and Alice Harskamp, of Sioux Center.
