Description	:	It was a severe shock to the many friends of Peter Lundstrom, when it was learned, Saturday morning that he had died suddenly, Friday night. He had been ailing for some time, but it was not thought to be anything serious, as he was able to be about and do the light work around his home. His wife, thinking he had overslept went to call him about 9 o'clock, Saturday morning, but receiving no answer stepped into his room and found him peacefully sleeping his last sleep. Read More	It was a severe shock to the many friends of Peter Lundstrom, when it was learned, Saturday morning that he had died suddenly, Friday night. He had been ailing for some time, but it was not thought to be anything serious, as he was able to be about and do the light work around his home. His wife, thinking he had overslept went to call him about 9 o'clock, Saturday morning, but receiving no answer stepped into his room and found him peacefully sleeping his last sleep. He had apparently died without a struggle. As soon as Mrs. Lundstrom found him, she ran outdoors screaming. Some of the neighbors went over to ascertain the cause. A doctor was summoned, but too late, the grim reaper had done his work too well. It is surmised that he had been dead at least from three to five hours, when found. The deceased was born in Sweden, February 15, 1834. At the time of his demise, he was 69 year, 3 months and 5 days old. He married in 1864. With his family, he came to Lafayette county, Wis. in 1871, removing to Knox county in 1883, settling on a farm near where Winnetoon now stands. He moved to Creighton last fall into a beautiful home, which he had prepared to round out his days in ease and comfort. He leaved a wife and eight children, four boys and four girls to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church, Tuesday at 2 o'clock, Rev. J.N. Gortner preaching the sermon. Interment was made in the Creighton cemetery. Extracted from: The Creighton Courier 26 June 1903 ******** New Groom's Father Dies Old Man Drops Dead of Heart Disease While Wedding Tour is Still On Creighton, June 23.--The happiness of a bridal party was brought to a sudden termination yesterday by the announcement that the groom's father, Peter Lundstrom, one of the oldest residents of Knox County, had died of heart disease. A few days ago Oscar Lundstrom went to Wisconisn to wed and bring to Nebraska with him, Miss Waldron. He was accompanied by his sisters, Nettie and Lucinda and brother, Will. Before leaving for the east, Mr. Lundstrom called his daughter, Lucinda to him and told her that he was afraid he would never see her again. She laughed at his fears. After the marriage the party went to Chicago, where a telegram reached them. It said that Mrs. Lundstrom had gone to the room of her husband to find him a corpse. Peter Lundstrom was born in the old country and came to Nebraska in an early day and had done much to build up Knox county. He was 66 years old. He leaves an aged wife and seven children.
