Description	:	Peter T. Van Driel passed away at the Grossmann Hospital on July 31, after a lingering illness of some weeks due to a heart trouble and old age. He was 92 years old. Mr. Van Driel was born February 25, 1855 in The Netherlands, and was a resident of the Middleburg vicinity for over 60 years. Surviving are six children, Abe Van Driel of Rock Valley, Arie Van Driel of Ireton, Mrs. Peter Kooiker of Orange City, Cornie Van Driel of Orange City, Peter Van Driel of Hawarden, and Mrs. Elmer Juffer of Sioux Center. He was 92 years old. Mr. Van Driel was born February 25, 1855 in The Netherlands, and was a resident of the Middleburg vicinity for over 60 years. Surviving are six children, Abe Van Driel of Rock Valley, Arie Van Driel of Ireton, Mrs. Peter Kooiker of Orange City, Cornie Van Driel of Orange City, Peter Van Driel of Hawarden, and Mrs. Elmer Juffer of Sioux Center. There are 20 grandchildren. Mr. Van Driel was preceded in death by, two daughters, Tracy who died at the age of a year and a half in 1905 and Mrs. Joe Harmelink of Orange City who died at the age of 29 years on August 18, 1931. Mrs. Van Driel died at the age of 80 years on September 1, 1945. Funeral services were held August 4 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elmer Juffer, and at the Christian Reformed Church at Middleburg. He was laid to rest in the Middleburg Cemetery. Since the death of his wife, he had been tenderly cared for by Mrs. Juffer and Mrs. Kooiker. Sioux County Capital 1947-08-07.
