Read More	Pleasanton---Funeral services will be held here Friday for Pfc. Leo Krotz, a member of Co. A. 308th Medical Battalion with the 83rd Division, who was killed in action in the Battle of Normandy on August 7, 1944. The son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Krotz, he was born near Pleasanton and lived here until 1937 when he went to Willows, California and lived there until inducted into the army Nov., 17, 1941. He took training at Camp Berkcley, Texas, and went overseas on the latter part of March 1944. Following his death, he was buried in the St. James national cemetery near Rennes, France. The body will arrive here Thursday evening and services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the U.B. church, with Rev. R.S. Kauffroath officiating. Full military honors will be given at the cemetery. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Krotz, of Pleasanton, two brothers Bernard and Willard of Pleasanton, and a sister Mrs. George Kisling of Litchfield. Another brother, Clinton was killed in action with the U.S. forces in Italy on May 8, 1944.
