The celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Lyle was born on November 22nd, 1936, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Mae (Williams) Jack. He grew up in the Hutchinson area, a graduate of Hutchinson High School. Following graduation, Lyle joined the United States Marine Corp. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann Kidwell on October 10, 1960, in Miami, Oklahoma. Lyle began his career as an insurance agent for Farmers in 1966 building his agency for more than 40 years. Lyle was more than an insurance agent to each of his clients; he was their mentor or support system as they dealt with personal tragedies. Lyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, hanging out at the lake and spending time with his family. Lyle leaves behind a memory with everyone, but he is best known for his skills in woodworking - leaving behind a thoughtful piece in many homes. Survivors include his wife Liz, son Gary (Carole) of El Dorado; daughters Tammy (Rick) Livingston of Rosalia and Lisa Jack of Towanda; brothers Joe (Laura) Jack, Loren (Kathy) Jack of El Dorado and Dale Jack of Leon; sisters Judy (Gary) Trecek of Topeka and Carol (Keith) McDowell of Oklahoma; grandchildren Gary Lyle and Adam Smith, Desiree (Smith) Thomas; Robert Pinkerton; Katy, Dustin and Heather Banwart; and four great-grandchildren. Lyle was preceded in death by his mother and brothers John, Jim and Walt.. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the State Park- Kids Fishing Program and the Kidney Foundation. Obituary for wife Liz. Elizabeth Ann (Liz) Jack 71 of El Dorado died March 31, 2013 at the hospital. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church. Burial will follow the services in Walnut Valley Memorial Park. Liz was born January 28, 1942 in El Dorado the daughter of Dean and Eleanor Barthlomae Kidwell. She attended schools in El Dorado. On November 10 1960 in Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Lyle Jack. He preceded her in death. She worked with her husband in the Lyle Jack Insurance for many years. The family loved to go on camping and fishing trips. She loved to sew and was a gourmet cook. Surviving family include one son Gary and wife Carol Smith of El Dorado, Tammy and husband Rick Livingston of Rosalia, and Lisa Jack of El Dorado; sisters Norma (Robert) Thrush of Wichita, Viola (Kenny) Blake of El Dorado; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and her special friends Bubba and Suzie.
