Born Jan. 26, 1922 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Louis A. and Mary (Brown) Lippold. Mr. Lippold served with the U.S. Army in World War II and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He was employed for 17 years as a nursing assistant at the Allegany County Nursing Home.
