He was born in Eddieville, Ky., Sept. 23, 1921, to Leslie and Ethel Jenkins Doom. He and his family moved to Montana in 1929. Read More	Walter "Russ" Doom Mar 1, 2005 PARK CITY Russ Doom, 83, of Park City, passed away Feb. 26, 2005, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. He was born in Eddieville, Ky., Sept. 23, 1921, to Leslie and Ethel Jenkins Doom. He and his family moved to Montana in 1929. He joined the U.S. Army on Sept. 16, 1944, and was discharged at Fort Lewis, Wash., Feb. 19, 1946, after serving his country. As a boy, he worked on large sheep ranches at Molt and Acton. He was part owner of the Yellowstone Dairy in Laurel before moving to Boyd to run his own dairy. On Dec. 23, 1968, he married Luella Boylan. He loved to dance and play cards. He was a member of the American Legion Post 100 of Park City. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Ruth Holt; brother Harlen; granddaughter Melissa; and stepdaughter Kathy Faw. He is survived by his wife Luella; brother Robert of Billings; son Walt of Georgetown Lake; daughter Lavone (Donald) Cellmer of Belgrade; stepsons Larry (Maurine) Keisz of San Diego, David (Joyce) Behm of Billings; stepdaughters Jackie Kiesz of Billings, Karen (Jim) Dempewolf of Manhattan; 10 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, at Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel. Interment with military honors at the Park City Cemetery. Memorials could be sent to American Legion Post 100 Park City, Park City Senior Center, or Laurel Senior Center.
