He was born July 24, 1920 in Harrod, Ohio to Leo E. & Nellie (Crane) Clark who preceded him in death. On April 12, 1941 he married Frances Ford and they enjoyed 66 plus years of marriage, she survives in Ada. He was born July 24, 1920 in Harrod, Ohio to Leo E. & Nellie (Crane) Clark who preceded him in death. On April 12, 1941 he married Frances Ford and they enjoyed 66 plus years of marriage, she survives in Ada. Mr. Clark was a past farmer, part owner and past president of Cole Motors Sales, Inc., in Ada, Ohio. He graduated from Alger High School in 1938. Mr. Clark was a U.S. Army Veteran Serving in World War II. He was a long standing member and served on the Board of Trustees of the Presbyterian Church in Ada. He was formerly Active in the Lions Club of Ada; lifetime member of the Ada Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post No. 9381; member of the American Legion Post No. 185 of Ada. He also served on the board of the Ada Community Improvement Corp. Wilber enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating. Survivors also include three sons: Gary E. (Shirley) Clark of Sebring, FL, Dennis M. Clark of Bartow, FL, & Randall L. (Emma) Clark of Ada; sister, Anna Mae Towe of Dunkirk; three half sisters: Betty Lou (Eugene) Good of Dunkirk, Patty A. (Neil) Good of Dola, & Shirley Murphy of Lima; eight grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren: Bryan (Julie) Clark, Todd (Carolyn) Clark, Greg (Kallie) Clark, Diana (Mike) Wiseley, Tom Sanders, Amy (Mike) Forest, Wendy (Mike) Plybon, Kelly (Shane) Wright, Heath (Angie) Clark and Kristin Clark; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Hazel Clark. Funeral services were held on Friday, August 17, 2007 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Rev. Patrick Allen and Pastor David Thompson officiating. Burial followed in Preston Cemetery, Alger. Graveside military rites by the Ada VFW Post No. 9381. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Foundation and/or Presbyterian Church of Ada.
