Description	:	Phoebe Ann Crisler, daughter of Lewis and Ellen E. Whaley Crisler was born in Preble County, Ohio, January 19, 1849, and departed this life at her late home in Redkey, May 2, 1919, age sixty-nine years, ten months and thirteen days. She was united in marriage to Joseph M. Crisler April 23, 1870 and to this union there was born six children, three of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father, mother, one brother and three sisters, and leaves to mourn her departure the husband, three children, three brothers, two grandchildren, her brothers... She was united in marriage to Joseph M. Crisler April 23, 1870 and to this union there was born six children, three of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father, mother, one brother and three sisters, and leaves to mourn her departure the husband, three children, three brothers, two grandchildren, her brothers and sisters in the church, many relatives and friends. The brother and sisters who preceded her were James A. Crisler, Elizabeth Stephens, Margaret Cranor and Kate Replogle. The children who survive are Ethel, wife of Jacob E. Caylor, of near Redkey; Myrtle, wife of Howard Hill, of Dunkirk, and Miss Letha Crisler, at home. The brothers who survive are Al Crisler, of near Redkey; Henry Crisler, of Redkey; and Johiel Crisler, of Michigan. She united with the Methodist Church at Oakgrove January 13, 1875. She moved to Redkey in 1876 and united with the United Brethren Church February 3, 1879, where she remained a faithful member until she was called from the militant to join the Church as we believe triumphant. She was a shouting Christian, one so far as I know who was never criticized for her happy spirit for people had faith in her life. She said that the man who preached her funeral was to preach to the living. She said I am ready and willing to go and some time ago sang "There's a deep settled peace in my soul" and as she sang it her heart was filled to overflowing with the blessing of God. Of her, her husband said, she was as good as ever lived, could not (be) better. Her children said of her the kindest of words. The funeral was conducted from the United Brethren Church in Redkey, May the 4th at 2 p.m. by Rev. J. H. Nall, of Portland, assisted by Rev. Charles Hunt of Redkey.
