The records show that Molly Sears Wright was the first buried there. History of Washington County, 1884 Philbert Wright, an old pioneer who immigrated from North Carolina in about 1809 and came to what is now Washington Township, Washington County, Indiana, where he passed the remainder of his days until his death July 31, 1855. NOTATION: Philbert's mother's name has only been found in 2 places - once in a purchase of property early upon their entry into NC; the other - in Richard's probated document - both legal documents. That name was ANN. No other positive information has been found to indicate it was otherwise.
