Description	:	Philip Eberhardt, son of Peter and Mary Eberhardt, was born February 22, 1864, in Germany. He passed away in the Geneva hospital June 7, 1961, having reached the age of 97 years, 3 months and 16 days. He was Exeter's oldest resident. Mr. Eberhardt was baptized when three months old and was confirmed at the age of 14 in the church of Reichelsheim Odenwarld, Germany. Read More	Philip Eberhardt, son of Peter and Mary Eberhardt, was born February 22, 1864, in Germany. He passed away in the Geneva hospital June 7, 1961, having reached the age of 97 years, 3 months and 16 days. He was Exeter's oldest resident. Mr. Eberhardt was baptized when three months old and was confirmed at the age of 14 in the church of Reichelsheim Odenwarld, Germany. At the age of seventeen, he came to the United States, settling in Illinois, where he lived eight years. In 1889 he came to Nebraska to make his home north of Exeter. He was united in marriage to Addie Ellis January 9, 1895. It was their privilege to enjoy 66 years together. To this union two children were born. In January, 1922, he and Mrs. Eberhardt moved to Exeter to make their home. She preceded in death by three months. Mr. Eberhardt leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Roy of Exeter and his daughter, Mrs. Leo Koehn of Exeter; two grandchildren, Reginald Koehn of Exeter and Gloria Eberhardt Jorgenson of Neubruckle Germany; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter Eberhardt in Germany; nieces and nephews in Nebraska, Iowa and Germany. Funeral services were held June 9 at 2:30 at the Farmer Funeral Home in Exeter, with Rev. Harold Dodson officiating. Burial was in the Exeter Cemetery.
