Rosaries will be recited at 3 and 8 p.m. at the funeral home Friday. Philip John Weiler was born June 9, 1950, in Le Mars, the son of Duane and Magdalen (Gengler) Weiler. He had resided in the Oyens area all his life. Phil graduated in 1968 from St. Mary's high school, Remsen, and that fall enrolled at Westmar college. After a year in college he began work with Livermore Construction Co., Le Mars, and for the last six years had been employed by Farm Structures of Iowa Co. His marriage to Sharon Edgar took place June 24, 1976, at Oyens. Phil was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Catherine's choir, Mass Leaders of St. Catherine's, Le Mars Merchants softball league and Le Mars men's basketball league. Survivors are his wife Sharon of Oyens: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Weiler. rural Oyens; four brothers, Gary of Las Vegas. Nev., Tony, Mike and John, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Steven (Connie) Davis of Fayetteville. Ga., and Bettv Weiler of Ft. Ord,Calif. Also surviving are his grandmothers,Mrs. Rose Weiler, Oyens, and Mrs. Elizabeth Gengler, Oyens. He was preceded in death by a sister and two grandfathers.
