Description	:	NORTON- Philip T. Stepanek, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Epoch Senior Healthcare of Norton, MA. He was the son of the late John and Helana (Kosowan) Stepanek. Philip was born in Norton on November 24, 1921. He attended the Norton Public Schools and was a lifelong resident. Philip was a tool production engineer and worked for Texas Instruments in Attleboro until starting his own business, Philsco Tools, at his home in Norton. Stepanek, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Epoch Senior Healthcare of Norton, MA. He was the son of the late John and Helana (Kosowan) Stepanek. Philip was born in Norton on November 24, 1921. He attended the Norton Public Schools and was a lifelong resident. Philip was a tool production engineer and worked for Texas Instruments in Attleboro until starting his own business, Philsco Tools, at his home in Norton. Philip served on several town committees throughout his life including the School Building Committee and the Town Finance Committee. He was an avid Norton Historical Society contributor and shared stories and pictures of Norton throughout the years with many. Philip was a great gardener who sowed seeds from his ancestors in the Ukraine, was an award winning oil painting artist and an accomplished fly fisherman. Philip leaves his beloved wife, Carole (Richards). He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Elana Osborne, two grandchildren, Aaron Osborne and his wife Allegra of Leverett, MA and Dr. Melissa (Osborne) Groves and her husband James of Maryland. He is the great grandfather of Devin, Luke, Emma, Sofia, and Kaitlin. Philip is survived by step-children, Christa (Hersee) Griffin and her husband Frank of Scituate and Scott Hersee and his wife Barbara of Stoughton, MA and their two children, Scott and Elizabeth. Philip was pre-deceased by his first wife, Laura (Fredette) Stepanek. The arrangements at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough, MA are Private.
