Phillip died at his home in Tilden. Phillip A. Cornett, son of William D. and Majol M. (Henderson) Cornett, was born July 9, 1957, at Tilden, Nebraska. Phillip attended Elkhorn Valley High School, where he graduated with the class of 1975. During his life, Phillip lived in Oakdale, Nebraska, and Tilden. He began his working career with the Antelope County Department of Roads, then joined the CVA Group, where Phillip delivered bulk fertilizer. During his time with CVA, he also worked for Elkhorn Valley High School as a bus driver and special education driver. Phillip was a member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting birds and deer, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Phillip was an avid Elkhorn Valley High School athletics fan (he never missed anything), and had served as a "chains" operator for Elkhorn Valley High football for many years. Phillip loved all types of technology, and was always keeping himself up-to-date with the latest innovations. Phillip is survived by his mother, Majol Cornett of Oakdale, Nebraska; brother, James Craig of Tilden, Nebraska; sister, Brenda Johnson of Lincoln, Nebraska; and a niece, Stephanie Johnson of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Cornett; and both sets of grandparents.
