Born Oct. 19, 1937, in Washington County, he was the son of William Galen and Ethel Frances (Brown) Owsley. He married the former Judy C. Prather on June 23, 1957, and she survives. He was a member of the Lost River Missionary Baptist Church in Campbellsburg and later attended Agape Ministries in Salem. Born Oct. 19, 1937, in Washington County, he was the son of William Galen and Ethel Frances (Brown) Owsley. He married the former Judy C. Prather on June 23, 1957, and she survives. He was a member of the Lost River Missionary Baptist Church in Campbellsburg and later attended Agape Ministries in Salem. He was also a member of Dairyman, Inc. and Washington County Farm Bureau. He was also a demonstrator during Old Settlers Days Festival. Surviving with his wife, Judy Owsley of Campbellsburg, are one son, Daniel Owsley and wife Kris of Salem; a daughter, Susan Ballerstedt and husband Bill of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, James, Rachel and Rebekah Owsley, and Thomas, Carol, Julia and Sarah Ballerstadt; a sister, Mary Frances Rutherford of Campbellsburg; and a brother, Billy G. Owsley of Campbellsburg. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Weathers Funeral Home, with Pastor John Denny and Pastor Al Yoder officiating.
