Description	:	Phillip Eugene Braskett, 79, of Idaho Falls, died Sunday, Aug. 9, at Idaho Falls Care & Rehabilitation Center after a struggle with Parkinson's Disease. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. He was born April 23, 1930, in Kokomo, Indiana, the only child of Forrest H. and Jean Walker Braskett. Read More	Phillip Eugene Braskett, 79, of Idaho Falls, died Sunday, Aug. 9, at Idaho Falls Care & Rehabilitation Center after a struggle with Parkinson's Disease. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. He was born April 23, 1930, in Kokomo, Indiana, the only child of Forrest H. and Jean Walker Braskett. He grew up in Kokomo and graduated from Indiana University. He served in the U.S. Air Force. On June 13, 1959, he married Carolyn Wagner in Indianapolis, Indiana. Phil worked for Mayflower Transit, Delco Radio and Cummins Engine Company in Indiana and moved to Idaho Falls in 1975 to work for Aerojet Nuclear. He was an Eagle Scout and served as a BSA Regional President for several years. He was President of the Columbus, Indiana, Arts Council and hosted a TV talk show, Kaleidoscope. Phil and Carolyn opened an antique shop in 1978 and retired in 2005, having enjoyed 27 years of traveling, doing shows and making wonderful friendships. Phil enjoyed golf and has collected more than 7,000 logo golf balls. He also enjoyed camping, sports, music, playing bridge, stamp collecting and spending time with friends. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Jean Braskett. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; and three daughters, Laura Mazzetti (Al) of Paris, Ky., Lisa Tepp of Milwaukee, Wis., and Kris Burnham (Merle) of Idaho Falls. He has seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls, with Pamela Mayes officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens in Kokomo, Indiana. Condolences may be left at www.buckmillerhann.com.
