The funeral services will take place this afternoon, at North Andover. In the mid 19th-century, Phineas Stevens was considered one of the most eminent millwrights of his generation. He was best known for the design and construction of the three mills of the Bay State Mills in Lawrence (pictured right), constructed in 1848.
