Jeff Kelley officiating. Interment will be in the West Blue Cemetery, followed by lunch at the United Methodist Church fellowship hall. In Loving Memory Of Phyllis D. Vosta Phyllis Darlene (Danekas) Vosta was born near Milford, Nebraska on March 12, 1927 to Elmer and Stella (Dainton) Danekas , the eldest of six children growing up on a farm outside Milford. She passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at her home in Milford at the age of 87 years. Phyllis graduated from Dorchester High School in 1944, and earned a certificate in Normal Training which she then used to teach country school for three years. She was united in marriage to Ronald Vosta on August 3, 1948 at the West Blue Church near Milford and to this union six children were born, Pat, Peg, Bonnie, John, Sally and Deb. Together they farmed south of Milford where they raised their six children. Phyllis was a dedicated farm wife, nurturing mother and very active in her children's lives including serving as a 4-H leader and helper in school and Sunday School class rooms. Phyllis and Ron enjoyed spending time with their children and watching them grow into adulthood. They rejoiced in welcoming 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and delighted in sharing in their lives. Phyllis loved holding those babies! And she loved the huge family gatherings … when all are together her family numbers 67. Phyllis and Ron enjoyed traveling together and being in the cast of the movie Nebraska in 2012. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and cake decorating. Phyllis was a member of the United Methodist Church in Milford, the United Methodist Women, and the Milford Grange. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her husband, Ron Vosta, her six children and spouses, Pat and Doug Friedli, Nebraska City, Peg and Mike Struebing, Omaha, Bonnie and Tom Kemper, Crete, John Vosta, Milford, Sally and Steve Frick, Omaha, Deb and Tom Hershberger, Lincoln, 20 grandchildren and spouses, 18 great-grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Kotil, York, Gerry Boller, Dorchester, Jane and Walt Riley, Seward, brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Ann Danekas, Milford, Doyle and Judy Danekas, Lincoln, sister-in-law, Delora (Vosta) Sukovaty, Crete, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
