Phyllis Delberta Davis was the daughter of Hefmon and Lydia Schrader Davis. The family moved to Montezuma when she was 9. Phyllis graduated from Montezuma High School in 1947. She worked at the Maid Rite during her High School years. Following graduation, she worked as a secretary for Smith and Swink Attorney, Brownells and in the Clerk of Court office. On October 24, 1948, she married Glenn E Osborn at the Methodist Church in Montezuma. They were the parents of two sons; Kevin and Ken. After they were married, Phyllis became a dedicated farm wife and mother. The couple farmed in the Grinnell and Montezuma area settling at their present farm north of Montezuma. Phyllis loved caring for her family. She was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved trying new recipes, her pies, homemade breads and rolls were the best! Phyllis also enjoyed gardening, reading, needle work, and her neighborhood clubs -- KYN and Willing Workers. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
