Phyllis was born July 14, 1925 in rural North Bend, NE to Sylvester and Amanda (Klintworth) Snover. She grew up in the rural North Bend area and was a 1942 graduate of North Bend High School. She taught school for 1 year at the Rosedale School, north of Fremont. Phyllis married Curtis F. Dockweiler on February 12, 1944 at St. Peter Lutheran Church at Snyder, NE. Phyllis was born July 14, 1925 in rural North Bend, NE to Sylvester and Amanda (Klintworth) Snover. She grew up in the rural North Bend area and was a 1942 graduate of North Bend High School. She taught school for 1 year at the Rosedale School, north of Fremont. Phyllis married Curtis F. Dockweiler on February 12, 1944 at St. Peter Lutheran Church at Snyder, NE. The couple moved to Enid, OK before returning to North Bend in September of 1945, where they farmed. After retiring from the farm, they moved into North Bend and became very involved at the Senior Center. Curtis died June 16, 1999. Phyllis was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Bend and was a former Sunday school teacher. She was previously active at the North Bend Senior Center and was a former member of the Dodge County Extension Club, the Maple Grove Extension Club, card club, knitting and ceramic groups, and a former 4-H Club Leader. She was a past board member and district representative of the Nebraska Extension Club. She is survived by son, Russell Dockweiler of Fremont; daughters, Sandra (James) Stevens of Mineral Wells, TX and Letha (Loren) Finkhouse of Aurora, CO; brothers, Clayton (Carol) Snover of North Bend and Mark (Nancy) Snover of Stewart, NE; sister, Judith Snover of Fremont; 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and grandson, Jared Stevens. Funeral service will be 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Bend, NE. The Rev. Mark Weber will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 PM to 7 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend and will continue at church 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in North Bend. Memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church, the North Bend Senior Center or North Bend Fire and Rescue."
