Having been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm on Oct. 23, 1999, she was hospitalized and subsequently moved into the Lennox Good Samaritan Center, where she died on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000. She attained the age of 52 years, 11 months and 25 days. Phyllis Grace Oltmanns was born at Lennox on Jan. 25, 1947, the daughter of Steeven and Anna Marie (Kuper) Oltmanns. She grew up in the area and attended Children's Care Hospital and School, graduating in 1965. She continued to reside in Lennox, where she remained active in the community. She will be remembered by many as the secretary of the bowling leagues in Lennox from 1970 until 1981. On Feb. 23, 1985, she married Michael Roemmich at Cody, WY, where the couple made their home. Mrs. Roemmich worked as a nursing home secretary in Cody for 15 years. The couple then lived in Billings, MT for four years, returning to Lennox in the fall of 1999. She worked for a short time at CCC Information Services in Sioux Falls, SD. She enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitch, and loved her children and husband. She was preceded in death by her father on Oct. 14, 1972; and her brother-in-law, Arthur Miller, on Jan. 21, 1988. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Michael, of Lennox; two children: Skyler Michael and Miriah Dawn, both at home; her mother, Anna Marie Oltmanns of Lennox; one sister, Ruth Ann Miller of Lennox (formerly of Cody, WY).
