Description	:	Phyllis I. DeBoer, 84, of Estelline, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Hamlin Reformed Church in Rural Castlewood, SD. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, at Geise Funeral Chapel, in Estelline. DeBoer, 84, of Estelline, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center. Phyllis Ilene Bevers was born on January 26, 1933 in Codington County, SD, the daughter of Willis and Elizabeth (Daily) Bevers. She grew up in the Grover area and graduated from Watertown High School in 1951. She went to work as a bookkeeper for a bank in Watertown. She was united in marriage to Wilbert ‘Bud’ DeBoer on September 2, 1955, in Watertown, SD. The couple moved to a farm, where Phyllis helped with all the daily chores, as well as raised their children, Rodney, Joel, Curtis and Paula. The couple moved to Estelline in 1979, where Phyllis would provide daycare for many Estelline families for numerous years, with the help of Bud. Phyllis and Bud moved to Park Place Assisted Living in August of 2012. Camping was one of Phyllis and Bud’s passions. They also like traveling to neighboring towns to listen to live music and in her later years, piecing together puzzles. She was a member of Hamlin Reformed Church, where she was involved with the Ladies Circle. Her favorite part of life was her family; she loved to see them and was always so excited when they could all be together. Grateful for having shared her life is her husband, four children, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; five brothers and one sister. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gerald(Joei) and Dwayne (Carol).
