Private family graveside will be held at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD. Phyllis Jane Straight, daughter of Edward and Ruth (Cannon) Straight was born October 8, 1926 in Sioux Falls SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls attending Washington High School. She was married with Hugh Haron in 1950, and they were married for 20 years. They later divorced. He passed away in 2006. When kids were younger, they always had a house full of friends that hung out at our house. She was loved by many and always referred to them as "her kids". They called her Mama Haron. Phyllis was united in marriage with Bernard Bingham January of 1978 in Sioux Falls SD. They lived in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed being a foster mother for Lutheran Social Services for four years. She worked for Shipley's Laundry for 5 ½ years. In 1976, she worked at Central Plains Clinic as a Supply Clerk for 12 years retiring in 1988. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters on bus trips and a couple cruises. Enjoyed crocheting and loved her grandchildren. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Kenneth (Lisa) Haron, Pleasant Hill, CA, Cheri (Fernando) Nino, Sioux Falls, SD, Sue Straight, Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard; sons, Chuck Haron, Robert Straight, Todd Haron; brothers, Allen Straight, James Straight; sisters, Katheryn Birdsall, Delores (George) Krueger, Francis Rickerl, Beverly (Bud) Larson.
