Description	:	Phyliss M. Wells, 36, of St. Paul died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Phyliss was born on Jan. 4, 1975, at St. Paul, the daughter of William L. and Nancy A. (Eschliman) Diessner. Phyliss was united in marriage to Chad D. Wells on June 20, 1998, at St. Paul. Phyliss was born on Jan. 4, 1975, at St. Paul, the daughter of William L. and Nancy A. (Eschliman) Diessner. Phyliss was united in marriage to Chad D. Wells on June 20, 1998, at St. Paul. Phylliss is survived by her husband, Chad and children, Sydney, Conner and Kayley Wells, all of St. Paul; mother, Nancy Diessner of St. Paul; brothers, William D. "Billy" Diessner of Kearney, Christopher Diessner of Spalding and Travis Diessner of St. Paul; grandmother's-in-law, Doris Wells of Elba and Arlene Pedersen of St. Paul and a host of relatives and friends. Phyliss grew up in Spalding where she attended Spalding Public Schools and graduated from Spalding High School in 1993. She then attended The University of Nebraska at Kearney for one year and transferred to Central Community College in Columbus where she received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. She then worked at the Friendship Villa in Spalding and later at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul. After her marriage she worked at the Lone Tree Medical Clinic in Central City. She began working at the Howard County Medical Clinic in 2003, where she worked until her health failed. Phylliss was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and played in local volleyball leagues. Phyliss enjoyed Husker volleyball, gardening, especially flowers, attending her children' s activities and her pets, Max, Boots and Salem. She loved her work at HCMC and missed her co-workers when she could no longer work. Phyliss loved helping people. Phylliss was preceded in death by: father, William L. Diessner; grandparents, Floyd and Helen Marie Eschliman and Leo and Florence Diessner; and uncle, James Diessner. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery, St. Paul, NE.
