Description	:	Phyllis M. Breeser, 88, of New Albin, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at her home. She was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Houston County, Minnesota, to Walter and Hulda (Meiners) Meyer. On July 20, 1946, Phyllis married Walter “Walt” Breeser at St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed Church in New Albin, Iowa. Together they raised four children and shared 66 years of marriage before Walter preceded Phyllis in death on Aug. 10, 2012. Breeser, 88, of New Albin, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at her home. She was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Houston County, Minnesota, to Walter and Hulda (Meiners) Meyer. On July 20, 1946, Phyllis married Walter “Walt” Breeser at St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed Church in New Albin, Iowa. Together they raised four children and shared 66 years of marriage before Walter preceded Phyllis in death on Aug. 10, 2012. She was a very family oriented women and a very dedicated member of her church. In later years, she enjoyed traveling. One of her favorite trips was when she and Walt drove to Alaska to visit their son, Steve and his family. Phyllis was very active in the local senior citizens group and loved playing cards. In addition to her husband, Walt, Phyllis was preceded in death by her son, Steven; her son-in-law, Gary Dickinson; three brothers, Warren, Gilman, and Loren “Kenny” Meyer; and one sister, Melba Beneke. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015, at St. Peter’s Church, 337 1st. St., N.E., New Albin. Rev. William J. Reese will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Memorial Cemetery.
