Read More	Bangor Daily News Obituaries Published on June 13, 2017 Phyllis Olene (Barnes) Severance May 20, 1934 - June 11, 2017 Phyllis Olene (Barnes) Severance, 83, passed from this world peacefully June 11, 2017, at a Lincoln hospital, surrounded by family. She is now in the loving presence of her husband, Linwood L. Severance, who she missed dearly. Phyllis was a daughter of Lester and Katherine (Barnes) Kennedy, parents she truly loved. She was born May 20, 1934, in Bangor, and grew up in Presque Isle until she moved to Lincoln at age 16. Dad liked to tease her about being a bare foot tater picker from the county, and she was proud of it. Mom was quick witted, had a good sense of humor and was one strong willed lady, traits she passed on to her children. A wonderful cook, crafty and good singer, she loved and cared for her children, their spouses, grandkids and siblings. She was the happiest when she was around family. Phyllis was predeceased by: her husband Linwood, son Wayne, grandson Matthew, siblings Roberta and Robert, and her parents. She is survived by her children, Phyllisann Arthurs and Jerry, Linwood Severance, Patricia Champrey and Tom, Cara Sinclair and Alan, Gina Spaulding and Mark, Shauna Littlefield and Jaramie and Hollie Thibodeau and Jim; several nieces and nephews; sixteen grandkids; and 19 great-grandkids. Though she will be greatly missed, we will smile big when we talk about all of our memories with her. The wit, humor, and absolute love she had and shared with us all. We love and miss you, Mom. Friends may visit with her family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday June 15, 2017 at the Lincoln Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Gina Spaulding's home, 271 Egg Pond Rd., Lincoln. Any questions please call 794-2177. Online condolences may be expressed at clayfuneralhome.com.
