Description	:	Phyllis R. Yohe, age 90, passed away on Friday August 26, 2016 at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. She was born on September 13, 1925 in Tipton, IN to Ray and Edith (Jones) Leavell. On March 21, 1946 she married Wilfred “Bud“ Yohe in a ceremony in Elwood, IN. Bud preceded Phyllis in death on January 3, 2003.. She was born on September 13, 1925 in Tipton, IN to Ray and Edith (Jones) Leavell. On March 21, 1946 she married Wilfred “Bud“ Yohe in a ceremony in Elwood, IN. Bud preceded Phyllis in death on January 3, 2003.. Phyllis was a member of the Windfall United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women’s Group, Tri Central PTO, the Windfall Alumni Assoc., and she served as Secretary of the Windfall Park Board for 10 years. Phyllis was a 1943 graduate of Windfall High School. She had worked at Petrolane in Windfall for a number of years and then in 1974 she and Bud opened the Yohe Bottle Shop and operated it until 1991. In her spare time Phyllis enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, watching Indiana University basketball, and the Indianapolis Colts. She loved attending the sporting events that her grandchildren participated in and cherished the times spent with her family and friends. Survivors include a son, Donald Yohe and a daughter, Debra Bryant. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Jeremy (Amber) Bryant, Jill Yohe, Kevin Bryant, Cara (Greg) Powell and her great grandchildren; Aaliyah Davis, Alton Davis, Elijah Bryant, Cooper Powell, Tabi Rowland and Kaleb Roland. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bud, a daughter, Patsy Goar, and 4 sisters. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday August 28, 2016 at the Porter Funeral Home located at 726 East North Street in Tipton, IN. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday morning August 29 at Porter‘s. Pastors Dennis Lafferty and Chris Ellis will be officiating with interment following in Windfall’s Brookside Cemetery.
