Description	:	UNION -- Pinckney S. Webber Jr., 78, of 265 Bailey Town Road, died Dec. 20, 2003 at his home after a long illness. A native of York, he was the son of the late Pinckney Samuel Webber Sr. and Nancy Elizabeth Mitchell Webber. He retired from Springs Industries in Chester and was a veteran of the Navy, having served during World War II. Read More	UNION -- Pinckney S. Webber Jr., 78, of 265 Bailey Town Road, died Dec. 20, 2003 at his home after a long illness. A native of York, he was the son of the late Pinckney Samuel Webber Sr. and Nancy Elizabeth Mitchell Webber. He retired from Springs Industries in Chester and was a veteran of the Navy, having served during World War II. He was a member of Lockhart Masonic Lodge No. 244 and a member of Lockhart United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Betty Bentley Webber of the home; two daughters, Patricia W. Harris of Buffalo and Ava Pridemore of Duncan; three sons, Stanley Webber of Boiling Springs, Michael Webber of Duncan and Pinckney S. (Sammy) Webber III of Lockhart; two sisters, Margaret Montgomery of Adamsburg and Elizabeth Crick of Kingstree; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Holcombe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lockhart United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Alan Quarles and Chaplain Skip Snyder. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lockhart United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 127, Lockhart, S.C., 29364; or to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood St., Suite 300, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
