See McBrides' cemetery book, 1972 edition, p. 125. ====== The 1880 history of Ross and Highland Counties (p. 400) says: "David Terrill [sic], from Campbell county, Virginia, also made his settlement in the western part of [Fairfield] township in 1806. He was a prominent man among the early settlers, and took a very considerable interest in public affairs. He served as a justice of the peace for about twenty-five years. Pleasant Terrill [sic] the father of D.A., was born in 1791, and died in 1840. His wife was Esther Haines, of Greene county. Joseph Terrill [sic] married a McPherson for his first wife, and Rebecca Frye for his second. His son, David F., lives upon the old farm, cleared up by David Terrill [sic]." ===== Many thanks to fellow Find A Grave contributor Sonja Krisell for finding Pleasant's month and day of birth in the records of South River Monthly Meeting, VA, listed in Hinshaw, Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, vol. VI, p. 341 (where he is listed as "Pleasants"). ===== In addition to children linked below, Pleasant Terrell had a daughter Mary Elizabeth Terrell (born 24 Sep 1829) who married John Borum (b 1824); it appears from Hinshaw's Quaker records that John and Mary E. moved to Kansas in the early 1880s.
