Read More	Information provided by nicki (46636315) Pluma Rachel Wood, daughter of Warren and Hannah Wood, was born January 26, 1876, at Morrisburg, Ontario, Canada, where she lived until the time of her marriage on February 9, 1892, to Jacob Weegar of Schaller, Iowa. Shortly afterwards, the young people came to Schaller where they lived for many years with the exception of five years at Hartley. Then they again moved back to their farm at Schaller in the year of 1923. To this union three children were born, Rose, who died in infancy; Orval, who passed away in 1943, and their daughter, Nina Woodke, who survives. Mrs. Weegar was baptized in the Christian faith of the Methodist Church as a child at her home in Canada. After her marriage, she transferred her membership to the Methodist Church at Schaller where she has retained it. She was called to her heavenly home at 3:30 p.m. on October 1, 1951, at the home of her daughter at the age of 75 years, eight months. She is survived by her daughter, Nina Woodke of Hartley, her daughter-in-law, Leona Weegar of Monroe, S. D.; six grandchildren, Darlene Olhausen of Sherburn, Minn., Keo Rose Weegar, Madison College, Tenn., and Kieth, Lee, Orval, and Billy Weegar of Monroe, S. D.; also one great grandchild, Vickie Olhausen from Sherburn, Minn. She also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Farlinger, Watertown, New York; Mrs. Alice Bradshaw and Mrs. Esther Woods of Brantford, Ontario, and Mrs. Loretta Sievert, Flint, Mich., and one brother, David Wood of Hamilton, Ontario, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband in 1926; her son, Orval in 1943, her son-in-law, Paul Woodke in March of this year; also her parents and a brother, Oliver, in World War I. Mrs. Weegar had made her home with her late son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Woodke, since the death of her husband, with the exception of nearly seven years spent teaching sewing and as Girls' Matron at the Government Indian School at Pipestone, Minn. She had been in ill heath for many years and the past two years had been a complete "shut in", being confined in her home to her bed or wheel chair. During this time, she had been tenderly cared for by her daughter. Funeral services were held at the Foley Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon with her pastor, Reverend Raymond A. Roloff, officiating. Music for the service was provided by old friends, Mrs. Louise Velin, Mrs. Lou Putnam, Mrs. E. Pfeiffer, and Mrs. Christina Rost, with Mrs. Lyle Shinkle at the piano. Favorite, hymns used were "No Night There" and "In the Garden". Pallbearers were D. E. Watters, Adolf Goetsch, Mario Waterhouse, George Albright, Hobart Putnam, and Lew Wilson.
