Description	:	Plumer Neely, 81, of Okanogan, WA, passed away at Valley Care Center in Okanogan on May 1, 2007. He was born January 16, 1926, in Rison, AR to Carl and Ethel Neely. The oldest of two brothers and three sisters, he quit school in the sixth grade and began working to help support his family. On May 20, 1943, he married Wyoma Hamaker. Read More	Plumer Neely, 81, of Okanogan, WA, passed away at Valley Care Center in Okanogan on May 1, 2007. He was born January 16, 1926, in Rison, AR to Carl and Ethel Neely. The oldest of two brothers and three sisters, he quit school in the sixth grade and began working to help support his family. On May 20, 1943, he married Wyoma Hamaker. Shortly thereafter, they moved to the Okanogan area. He worked an orchard in Malott and drove snow plow for the Department of Highways before going to work for Biles Coleman Lumber Co. in 1953. He pulled green chain for 26 of his 38 years of service at the local mill, retiring in 1991. Plumer spent most of his late summer, fall and winter weekends falling trees and cutting fire wood that he sold to local residents. He was a member of AA and amassed more than 25 years of sobriety. In his earlier years, Plumer was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Okanogan. Plumer is survived by three sons, Bill (Janet) Neely and Denny (Madonna) Neely, of Okanogan, WA and Kelly (Jennifer) Neely of Spokane Valley, WA; three sisters, Monten Sipes of Pine Bluff, AR, Betty Sweeny and Joyce Took of Rison, AR; five grandsons, Brett Neely of Okanogan, WA, Jason Neely of Pullman, WA, Brian Neely and Tyler Neely of Spokane, WA, J.T. Neely of Spokane Valley, WA; two granddaughters, Kathryn Neely of Cheney, WA and Megan Neely of Spokane, WA; four step-grandchildren, Michele Skylstad of Okanogan, WA, Teresa Sawyer of Omak, WA, Michael Skylstad of Leveen, AZ, Scott Skylstad of Walla Walla, WA; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wyoma; a son, Ronald Neely; a grandson, Adam Neely; and two brothers. Funeral Services will be held for Plumer Neely Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel in Okanogan, WA, with Interment at the Okanogan City Cemetery. Pastor Paul Sheley, 1st Baptist Church, Okanogan, officiating. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Funeral Directors, in charge of arrangements.
