Description	:	Obituary Preston W. Wentworth died at the Charlotte County Hospital Jan. 22, 1994. He was 87. He was born in L'Etete May 28, 1906, son of the late Wilson Wentworth and wife, the late Laura (Holmes) Wentworth. He was a member of the Church of Christ of L'Etete and St. George. He worked for SMT during the war years. After the war he obtained a bus franchise for the line between St. George, Blacks, Beaver Harbour, Back Bay and L'Etete. He was born in L'Etete May 28, 1906, son of the late Wilson Wentworth and wife, the late Laura (Holmes) Wentworth. He was a member of the Church of Christ of L'Etete and St. George. He worked for SMT during the war years. After the war he obtained a bus franchise for the line between St. George, Blacks, Beaver Harbour, Back Bay and L'Etete. In addition he developed a charter bus service (PW Transportation). He drove a school bus for 31 years in school district No. 21. Preston retired from the bus line service in the early 70's. Until his retirement he worked for J. Fowler Grocery and Wentworth's Grocery in St. George. Surviving besides his wife Estella (Wright) Wentworth are four sons - Norman Preston and his wife, Marguerite (Norman) St. George; Kenneth Wilson and his wife, Gwendolyn (Patterson) Shawville, Que.; Douglas Keith and wife, Dorothy (Brennan), Fredericton; Raleigh Leland and wife, Kathleen (Susan Whittier) St. George; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Julia. He was predeceased by two brothers - Fred and Willie. Funeral service was Jan. 25 at the St. George United Baptist Church. The service was conducted by Rev. Jonathon Steeper, Rev. Kenneth Hughes and Rev. Dave Haddon. The soloist was Corinne Guptill who sang Each Step I Take, and the Choir sang Where the Roses Never Fade, organist - Elaine Gordon. Pallbearers were Cleveland Wright, John Wentworth, Brian Hatt, Kevin Wentworth and William Wentworth. Honorable pallbearer was Herbert Matthews. Interment was at the St. George Rural Cemetery.
