Children, George 17, Nancy 15, Elizabeth J. 10, Sarah E. 10. There are three spellings for his name: Prier, Priar and Prior. I use the spelling on his memorial. He died age 75 years and 29 days. Prier and Katherine had six children, Samuel G. Brown, George W. Brown, Nancy Brown, Mary Ann Brown Boyce, Elizabeth J. Brown and Sarah E. Brown. Excerpt from "A House That Blooms", written by Barbara West Brage. "Prior Brown died intestate in Clarke County, Iowa on 14 April 1875. He is buried in Hopeville Cemetery in Doyle Township. His death is followed closely by the death of his wife, Katherine, who also died in intestate and all of their sons. A rather messy dispute among the heirs followed.
