Priscilla McKibbin was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Hilton McKibbin. The family lived on various farms near Laurel, Newburg and Kellogg and she would walk over 4 miles to a country school each day with her sister, Peggy. Later, she attended public school in Kellogg. On May 3, 1939, She was married to James Loyd Anderson on May 3, 1939 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They were the parents of Marcie and Rick. They lived in Kellogg and later relocated to their farm north of Kellogg. Priscilla was a mother and homemaker before working as a teller at the Kellogg-Sully Bank. She was a very devoted wife and mother and enjoyed sharing her time with her grandchildren. They moved to Seeland Park in Grinnell in 1999. She was active in the Kellogg Christian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, the PTA of Kellogg, the Kellogg Historical Society and the Grinnell Chamber of Commerce. She volunteered for many organizations, was a sports enthusiast (especially the Utah Jazz) and loved ballroom dancing.
