Description	:	UNITY -- Priscilla Ruth (Lamson) Walker, 76, of Unity, died on Monday, July 19, 2004, at the Inland Hospital in Waterville surrounded by her children and grandchildren after battling cancer and heart problems for some time. She was born on Aug. 2, 1927, in Monroe, a daughter of Philip and Greta (Larrabee) Lamson. After raising her children, she went back to school and received her high school diploma in 1978. Read More	UNITY -- Priscilla Ruth (Lamson) Walker, 76, of Unity, died on Monday, July 19, 2004, at the Inland Hospital in Waterville surrounded by her children and grandchildren after battling cancer and heart problems for some time. She was born on Aug. 2, 1927, in Monroe, a daughter of Philip and Greta (Larrabee) Lamson. After raising her children, she went back to school and received her high school diploma in 1978. She was well known for the poetry and stories that she wrote, some of which were published. She was also known for the beautiful quilts and other handmade items that were often times given as gifts. She was predeceased by her parents and her first husband, Delmar Giggey; a sister, June Fuller, and her brother, Charles Lamson. She was also predeceased by a beloved son-in-law, Allan Hawes. She is survived by her children, and their spouses, Gwen Hawes and her companion, Daryl Provost, of Winslow, Mary Giggey who lived with her, Bruce Giggey of Unity and Kim Holmes and her husband, Steven, of Freedom; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Gertrude Shibles of Knox, and Emma Stevens of Unity. She is also survived by a special niece who was like a daughter, Linda Ames, of Dixmont and her husband, Bacil. Visiting hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, at Lawry Brothers Memorial and Remembrance Centre in Unity. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Freedom with the Rev. Robert Philbrick officiating. (Published in the Waterville Morning Sentinel)
