Came to Bourbon County, Kansas with three children about 1872. Had two more children in Kansas. Lived with grandson Great Britton from at least 1910 till her death. Also birth date and place....Info from Dennis Nicks #48332432 -------------------------- Ohio marriage records show both of John Desellems marriages- to Mercy Hedges in 1825, then Mary Hedges in 1851, The 1850 U.S, Census shows the whole family by name in Liberty Township of Guernsey County, Ohio. Prudence's computed birth year is not consistent through the years and documents. However, two facts argue for 1835. First, she is shown as 15 in the September 1850 census (although her 15th birthday would be three months later in December). Secondly, brother Samuel was born in March 1834 and sister Mary was born in December 1837.
