Wright) Since this company was part of Col. John Street's Regiment it appears that they defended Baltimore by participating in the Battle of North Point in 1814. WILL: Abel Watkins. To my wife Rachel the farm whereon I now live being the lands that fell to me from the last will and testament of John Watkins late of Harford Co. I give to my said wife all my personal estate consisting in part of horses, cows, ... I own or possess to my wife. I appoint my son John Watkins dated May 1st 1844, proven Mar 17 1846 witness Abrm J. street, James Gemmill, Andrew J. W. Harris WB TSB 6 p. 98-99 WILL: John Watkins of Harford Co to my son John Watkins so much of the tract of land on which I now reside as shall be equal to one third of the whole in value to include half of the orchard most convenient to his buildings and give acres of land over the new road next to John Streets to support the fence of his part which 5 acres to be taken in the estimate to make the land laid off for him equal to 1/3 but not the buildings in which he now resides, but as my son John hath no issue and if he dies without issue, then this portion to my grandson John Watkins son of Abel Watkins, but if my daughter in law Margaret Watkins wife of my son John shall survive her husband then my will is the aforementioned devise to my grandson John Watkins be subject to the following encumbrances that is Margaret Watkins to have the use of the buildings with two acres cleared and half an acre of wood land most convenient to the dwelling during her life but she may sell and offer my grandson John Watkins or his legal representatives to purchase first. But if my son John has sanfied issue then nothing in her shall deprive him or his heirs to enjoy the same forever. I give to my son Abel Watkins one third part of the value of the lands whereon I now reside to be laid off so as to include buildings where he now lives to him and his heirs forever. I give to my two daughters Hannah Jenkins and Elizabeth Street the other third of the lands on which I now reside to be divided equally between them according to the quality or real value. but my daughter Hannah Jenkins to have that part where the buildings stand during her natural life and my wish is that it shall then go to my granddaughter Elizabeth Jenkins dau of James and Hannah Jenkins to her and her heirs forever and of the third part laid off. The portion to my daughter Hannah at her decease shall go to my granddaughter Elizabeth Jenkins and the part laid off for Elizabeth Street shall at her decease go to Hannah Street daughter of Shadrick and Elizabeth Street. To my grandson John Street my shot gun. After my daughter Hannah Jenkins takes her two beds, three cows, and Kate mare which I have given to her heretofore, I give all the remainder of my personal property to be equally divided between my two daughters Hannah Jenkins and Elizabeth Street, wife of Shadrick Street share and share alike.
