Watauga. -Served as a private under brother-in-law Capt. David McNabb and Col. John Sevier against the redcoats at the Revolutionary War battle of Kings Mountain in 1780, over General Cornwallis’ commander Maj Patrick Ferguson. -Lived in the Happy Valley, between Powderbranch and Gap Creek. -Buried in the Central Community cemetery off of Taylortown Road. |
