He attended country school in Worthing, SD and finished his schooling in Sioux Falls, SD. In 1945, he served in the US Army during World War II. Donald was united in marriage with Margaret Wohler on July 29, 1947. He worked at Duke Tufty Car Dealership for 30 years as a mechanic, before retiring in 1981. He was a longtime pitcher and was inducted into the South Dakota Softball Association Hall of Fame at Pierre in 1983. Donald married Linda Bellonger on June 27, 1996 in Sioux Falls. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, sportsman, and all around sports fan.Grateful for have shared his life are his two daughters, Deborah Patzlaff and her husband, David, Sioux Falls, Patricia Gaspar and her husband, Steven, Sioux Falls; two sons, Dale Bossman, Sioux Falls, Victor Bossman and his wife Carrie, Sioux Falls; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; his mother, Viola Bossman, Sioux Falls; one sister, Loretta DeYong, Sioux Falls; wife and companion, Linda Bossman, Sioux Falls; and a host of other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his father, an infant child in 1957, and his special uncle, Leonard Skurda.
